English transcript

A doorbell connects you to the doorway. When a care visit changes, who follows through? Care Handoff gives one person the next step. In this fictional household, Maya coordinates June’s visit, and Lee is the nearby backup.

This is Amazon’s official Ring Playground. Care Handoff discovers the simulated device and reads its status and history through the Ring API. Maya can open a live view to check the doorway, then record her own confirmed update.

Now a change of plan. In our example, Pat is delayed and the visit window has passed. Maya records the phone update and asks Lee to check in with June within twenty minutes. The request includes the action, the time, and the reason.

The card still names Maya while Lee decides. Lee opens the same visit, sees the concrete plan, and accepts. Acceptance transfers responsibility to Lee. Both screens receive the new state, with one person owning the next update.

Lee arrives, checks in with June, and records an arrival receipt. After lunch, Lee adds a short completion note. The screen now shows a clear ending: the accepted plan, the person who completed it, and what happened.

Return later, and the accepted plan and named receipts are still there. Ring observations keep their device source. A household member’s confirmation carries their name. The shared record gives everyone the same clear account of what happened.

The working application is open source. Try the fictional visit immediately, or create a free seven-day shared visit with a private link for each person. Care Handoff: one circle, one clear next step, a visit followed through.
